PRAGUE (ČIA) – The president of the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic (AK ČR), Jan Veleba, has called upon the president of the European non-governmental agricultural organisation COPA, Gerd Sonnleitner, and asked COPA to respect the requirements from new EU member countries. The requirements represent certain changes to the proposed reform of the single agricultural policy. Mr. Veleba has also presented the position of the Agrarian Chamber to Mr. Sonnleitner; if the requirements are not accepted, the non-governmental agrarian organisation of new member countries will request the reduction of member contributions to COPA to a half.
