PRAGUE (CIA) – Generic drug producer Krka invested a total of EUR 44.5 mln (CZK 1.1 bln) in the first half of this year. The group invested EUR 32 mln into its parent company and EUR 12.5 mln into its subsidiaries. The biggest current investment of the company reaches EUR 91 mln (CZK 2.25 bln) and it will be used for the construction of a new plant producing drugs with a capacity of 2.5 billion units a year. The construction of the plant Krka Locna in Slovenia will begin in the second quarter of next year, according to information made public by the company.
