PRAGUE (CIA) - Vemex Vice-president for marketing Hugo Kysilka pondered the attitude of regulatory authorities, which set the purchase price of electricity from reduction stations with expanders (RSE) to CZK 1 per kWh and this technology is thus not being used much in our country. According to his words, though, this is a source, which is fully ecological and achieves 100% efficiency, moreover. According to Kysilka, by using energy from gas expansion, up to 670 GWh could thus be produced in the Czech Republic per year.

When applying RSE technology, the energy is used in gas mains, which is not used in any way with common reduction of pressure by means of reduction valves. RSE is currently only installed in the Czech Republic in Velke Nemcice and in Brno – Turgenevova.
