Prazska energetika profit up 21% in H1

PRAGUE (CIA) – In H1 2010, the net profit of Prazska energetika totalled CZK 1.26 bln, or 21% more year on year. However, revenues from the sale of electricity dropped 1.4% to CZK 10.21 bln.

Margin increased 10% (CZK 270 mln) despite lower power electricity prices that decreased by 12% on average. According to the PRE half-year report, the main reason for the higher profit was optimisation of electricity purchase cost.
