Visa has more than 5.5 mln cards in CR

PRAGUE (ČIA) – The Visa Europe Association has issued more than 5.5 mln cards on the Czech market. Last year these were used to complete 269 mln transactions, up 15 % y/y, with almost 159 mln of these transactions completed directly with merchants (+ 22.6 %). The volume of transactions totaled almost EUR 22.5 bln (CZK 567 bln) up 8.4 % y/y. Spending at merchants totaled EUR 5.9 bln (+ 15.6 %).
